About The Lodge and Paw Spa
Where your pet stays while you are away should never be a worry.
The Lodge at Timber Ridge offers overnight lodging and day play care for our established patients and we treat each of them like our very own. Your pets are kept safe, happy and comfortable in the same building as the remainder of the hospital.
We have a variety of spaces available and we also provide a large play yard to help burn off any extra energy. We offer group and individual play times and lots of love and attention.
Our kitty companions get their own private suite on the opposite side of the building from the dog kennel. We have spacious kitty condos with a view of the birds outside or everyone coming in out of the hospital, whichever makes them happy.
In order to keep your pet protected as well as our other patients we require that everyone in the hospital and lodge have veterinary documentation of the following:
Dogs
DA2PP- Distemper Parvo Vaccination- within the last 1-3 years dependent on pet’s age and vaccine type
Bordetella within the last 6-12 months depending on vaccine type
Rabies-within the last 1-3 years dependent on pet’s age and vaccine type
Negative fecal parasite test within the last year
Current proof of purchase of external parasite prevention from a veterinary facility
Dogs over 7 months of age must be spayed or neutered to participate in playcare and group play time activities
Cats
FVRCP – feline distemper- within the last 1-3 years dependent on pet’s age and vaccine type
Rabies-within the last 1-3 years dependent on pet’s age and vaccine type
Negative fecal parasite test within the last year
Current proof of purchase of an external parasite prevention from a veterinary facility
**We strongly recommend that all patients be on a heartworm and parasite prevention plan.**
External Parasite Preventative Policy
If you are unable to provide documentation of current purchase of an external parasite (flea and tick) preventative from a veterinary facility or if any signs of fleas are noted on your pet they will be given a Capstar at an additional charge to their boarding or play care fees.
If a tick is noted on your pet a tick preventative will be given at an additional charge and the tick removed.
There are many different types of flea and tick prevention available both over the counter and through your veterinarian. Not every product is equal or effective. TRAMC requires proof of purchase through a veterinary clinic in order to maintain the manufacturer’s guarantee of the effectiveness of that product.
Manufacturers do not guarantee products purchased over the counter or at a non-veterinary clinic pharmacy. Our top priority is the health, happiness and well-being of your pet, therefore, we want to ensure that your pet is fully protected with a guaranteed product.
We make every effort to maintain a flea free facility and make sure you don’t go home with unwanted parasites that your pet did not arrive with.
